The girls were soooo good! The face painting lady was so sweet and painted Emmas face
 to match her animal :)

Birth Story

I was scheduled to be induced Monday Morning 2/2 and had a busy Sunday ahead of me. I spent all day Saturday cleaning and prepping for Monday. I dont like to come home to a messy house. Around 730, I noticed some cramping. Over the next hour, I realized it had happen 5 times. So at 830, I decided to start timing them. Perfect, cuz we just put Emma to bed..not

From 830-930, my contractions were 5 minutes apart. 930-1030, they were 3-4 minutes apart and I called L&D to ask if I should come it. I mean its 11pm, I live 30 mins away and have to wake a 3 year old. I only want to go for the real thing haha. I decided to wait it out a little longer.
I had showered a little bit earlier and decided to do my hair and make-up, yes im that lady haha. By the time it hit 11, I was demanding we leave. They were now coming at a steady 2-3 minutes and I was having to stop with each contraction and wait it out. I made James take one last weekly bump picture (I prepped the board for Monday morning LOL)

We woke Emma up and I called my parents to meet us to get Emma.

I checked in and was only at a 4. I was then informed, they wouldnt help me along since I wasnt 39 weeks...24 hours away!! She said if I didnt progress over the next hour they would send me home. I cursed at her haha. 45 min later, I was wailing in pain and she decided to check me and I was at a 5...yay I get to stay!!! Over the next hour, I labored and yelled in pain.. I was the loud lady on the floor. When they got me into my room finally, I was a 6. They called in for the epidural and he must have heard me; he was in the room within 10 minutes. Right before he put the epi in, they checked and I was an 8. I was so still for him and it was in. After I sat upright for 10 min to let the epi kick in, I went to a 10. They allowed me to wait 10 more minutes to let it kick in some more. They asked me to do a practice push (James was in the restroom at this time and almost missed the birth lol) and as soon as I did, they shouted to stop. I couldnt stop and 2 pushes later, baby girl was born. A teeny tiny 5lbs 10oz :)

Emma was really unsure at first (I think the hospital setting was strange as well). When we all got home, it was instant love and now she fights me to hold her. My whole heart is full and I couldnt be happier <3
