Emma Lately

This girl as been up to so much! Or so it feels that way. Last week, she had a fever and joined me for a day at the office :)

That same day, Emma's potty arrived, I plan to start next month, she is so so ready. I couldnt even get it out of the box before she was naken. Within 10 min, she had taken a poop. Super proud Mom moment! She also went number 2 again last night! She doesnt go all the time, but its a start for now!!

And well since yesterday was the first day of fall...we have been getting super crafty over here! Painting pumpkins and bakings lots of cookies!

And of course holiday jammies and a cute bath time babe :)

Circus 2014

I was super excited when I saw the circus coming this weekend. I texted my Mom and if her and my Dad would wanna go with us...I have never been and wanted to experience it with my Mommy as if I were 8 again. Emma did so so well! After she hated the animals at the corn fest, I wasnt sure how this was going to go.

We opted for the last showing of the day on Saturday so my Dad could join us. And I loved getting home so late, Emma slept till 830 on Sunday!!

They let us in about an hour before the show started. We grabbed some front row seats and started the activities before the show started. They had an elephant ride, but the line was wayyy too long. They also had a camel, but one of us had to ride and it wasnt going to be me. So we opted for the little horses and it was perfect! James went a few circles and I jumped in a traded for the last few. She loved the horse this time :)

She of course wanted her face painted. She picked the pink butterfly and LOVED it. She was sad to see it go when we had to wash her face before bed.

Once the show started it was pretty cool. Emma wanted to play with tigers...sorry girlfriend. The ladies who did the hula-hoop and fire juggling were pretty awesome. And the acrobatic ladies, they were awesome.

The elephants were soooo cute! I loved how they stood on those small little stools. Amazing.

And sweet Aunt Julie sent Emma with suvenier money and she picked out ths\is cute butterfly wand and a super cute green elephant :)

Cant wait to go next year!!

The great flood of 2014

The I-10 (abc15.com)
Local Golf Course (abc15.com)
Since Friday last week, Arizona was expected to get rain ALL weekend long. Saturday and Sunday came and gone with NO rain! I was pretty bummed..but I saw it was 100% on Monday to rain...YAY!

2 am Monday morning, I was awoken with loud thunder and rain...it didnt stop for hours. James woke up at 4 and decided to leave by 445 to get to work on time because it looked like it was getting way bad out there. When he got to work at 530, he texted me and told me not to go anywhere yet..my car will float away. So I started to get ready and called my mom to see how her side of the valley was doing. She made it to work but said it was pretty bad. So I said I was gonna wait it out and wait for Emma to wake up. I could see the grass banks overflowing with water. I was watching the news and the next thing I knew, both routes to work were closed down. They shut the I-10 down for hours (see top picture) and the main road I take everyday was closed down. I texted my boss, I was staying put. The development is building right next door to us and they were attempting to bring the trucks in..didnt go so well. I was staying for sure now. Emma and I opened the front door and watched as the water rolled by. We have 3 stairs in front of our door, so the water never made it. Thank goodness. The rain started to let up, but it was a hot hot mess out there. Emma and I got to spend the day together which was nice..although its the worst when you cant go anywhere and all we wanted to do was leave hah. A few parts of the valley are still affected by the water, our area has mostly dried up now :) lots of mud piles everywhere!

It was a record breaking day for rain and water here in the AZ!! I was so glad I was able to stay safe with Emma :)

Baby 2 // Week 17

Baby, fetus at 17 weeks - BabyCenter
{via babycenter}
Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.
