Weekend in review

This weekend was great! The kids yelled and fought a whole lot. But let us remember the fun times shall we.

We started celebrating our FIVE year wedding anniversary! My Mom picked up both girls on Friday. James and I had intentions to eat at Zinbuger and then to see Black Panther. But once we got to the restaurant, we realized that we would not make the movie in time. So we opted to enjoy the food and do a matinee Saturday morning.

On Saturday, I was telling the girls all about the wedding day and Emma asked to see my dress. So we pulled it out of the closet to play.

This dip doesnt look the most appetizing..but I cannot stop making it. Goat cheese, Fig jam and roasted garlic. So so good.

Sunday, we headed to the aquarium to use our annual passes and it is always so much fun!

Bathroom sharks :)

Sunday afternoon, we caught a lizard and Emma named it Greg haha, we will be letting him free today. It was a great weekend with the people I love most!

Weekend Rewind

This weekend flew by! We stayed very busy, but also were able to chill at home for a few hours with nothing to do!

Saturday, Gianna and I hung out and colored my hair. After that we headed to the mall to get a new shirt for an engagement party we went to. Spent a few hours with my screaming children there, haha.

Here are the cute moments im choosing to remember.

Sunday, we met my Mama and cousin Erika for brunch! We dont get to see Erika often, but when we do, we love it!

--> always killin it in the beauty dept.

Sunday afternoon, when Erika left, we blew up the pool outside for a quick dip before Emma had a play date.

We found out one of Emma's friends from school, in her class, lives around the corner from us! So I walked Emma over to her play date, which lasted several hours. So happy for this moment!

For dinner, I made this salad mushroom "burger"..with no burger. Used the mushrooms and then topped it with my favorite salad. YUM.

--> she was so cute blow drying her hair while I was coloring my hair.

Back to the weekly grind! James and I celebrate 5 years of wedded bliss (read chaos haha)! My Mama is picking up both girls and im excited to have a date night and celebrate that we havent killed each other!

xoxo

Emma's 6th Birthday Party

For months, Emma has been planning her 6th Birthday party.

Every week a different theme. We finally settled on Ice Cream Party.

She wanted to go to a bounce house type place, but when I looked up the cost, I could have thrown 3 parties. So we talked about having it at the house. She was sold.

I browsed Pinterest for ideas and got to planning. Every year she asks for a bounce house, but having it a place, there wasnt an option. So this year it was a for sure thing. It was dropped off HOURS before the party, so they bounced their hearts out all day. We also just installed some turf for the pool this summer, so in the mean time, I moved the soccer stuff for the kids to also play in. We also had a coloring station which was huge hit and a bean bag 'ice cream' toss, which we can continue to play. I asked James to build an ice cream stand to have the food served at and he was super handy and built just that :). I painted it and decorated it and now we can still use it as a bar is the backyard! Tabby built the amazing Pinata and I loved it soo much!

And now for the rest of the pictures:
