The Weekend

We had such a splendid weekend! It was super fun and relaxing and we even went out to enjoy the beautiful winter we are having here before we melt this summer :)

This weekend there was a Food Truck Festival and ever since we started watching Food Truck races on the Food Network we have always wanted to stop and eat at them!

There were about 30 trucks and we tried something from 5 of the trucks. Would have tried more, but some of the lines were just way too insane and Emma just wanted to run free.

James said his pulled pork sandwich was so good, he got it twice. My favorite thing, which I ate too fast to snap a pic was the fried cheese balls. Yummmm.

After food trucks, we went home for a much needed nap :). Who doesnt need a sweet nap right after you stuff yourself?!

Here is a good look at Emmas curly crazy hair. I woke up with Emma on Sunday morning and she was in the sweetest mood and wanted to watch Minnie Mouse and hold her Minnie. I melted.

Sometimes, when chairs are just too much..we use our teddy bears as seats. If you cover yourself with a blanket and lay on the floor, Emma will run to you and attack you and giggle with such excitment.

Loved this weekend!!

Valentines Day 2014

This year was such a fun Valentines Day! We knew my Mom was going to have Emma on actual Valentines Day, so we planned for Thursday night. We have Emma a stuffed pillow, a bunch of stickers, some cups because she loves juice, and of course some chocolate. She was in heaven.

I started my day off with flowers, balloon, teddy bear, some chocolates and a picture :). I then got a second surprise when I woke up Emma (not pictured), it came with a card, teddy and a balloon. When I got to work, around 815, I got a text from James asking to see if he left is wallet in my car. Beacuse he is known for losing his wallet frequently, I said ok and went to check. When I got to my car, there was a teddy, flowers, chocolates, a card and a candle. I for sure thought that was going to be it...

Upon arriving home, I had a giant last surprise waiting on the bed for me. This GIANT teddy bear, more chocolates and flowers and reallllly sweet card that made me bawl. I was blown away this Valentines Day and I am so greatful for my loving and sweet husband! ❤

As still as she would get for me hehe

At work, we did a last minute card giving thingy. It turned out better than expected and we cant wait to do better next year. We had cupcakes and gave out goodies and had a yummy lunch. Love when things like this work out!

I kept James gift short and sweet this year and it was just perfect. Since he loves beer and the NY Giants... why not get the both?! Emma and James definitely LOVE this blanket... its only been 4 days and I think it already needs to be washed haha

I put cute little wrappers on the beers and put some ribbon on the blanket. I sure call that festive!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY ❤

22 Months

Who? What? When? Where? Why? How?
I cannot believe this cute & sweet munchkin will be TWO in two months.
And yes, they grow oh so fast as every single person with a child will tell you... in case you couldnt see how fast it is flashing before your own eyes!

This month, she has been really into her Daddy :) especially at night, right before bed. If he is sitting on this couch, she will climb right up and get comfy.

She also made the blanket rack into her own personal jungle gym/fort... she also wants to sit between the bars and get "stuck" as she repeats as she tries and forces her way and to her sadness, she didnt fit and was mad because I just sat and recorded her. hehe

Emma has also now discovered the toilet paper! Each bathroom only gets ONE roll at a time and it is not allowed on the roller haha I knew it was too quiet for far too long.

Emma loves her car and will get it and out and drive it around the house (she doesnt get far on the carpet LOL) and we like to take it to check the mail and she insists on walking and pushing it herself... BEEP BEEP

She has become a food theif! She stole the Buger King bag and ran away with it. Although and soon as she saw what was in it she gave it right back and had no interest. AND since she is the pickiest eater ever, I made a banana, blueberry and broccoli shake for her and she LOVED it, drank more than half :) pretty excited about that!!

Her new favorite puppy, she pets him, gives him kisses and drags him around.

We have a massive grass area right outside the house and Emma went crazy. She was so utterly happy it made my heart so happy :)

Happy 22 months, Peaches!!!!

A weekend for the books..

This was definitely not a weekend I want on repeat. It all started smooth of course. We planned that my Mom would have Emma Saturday and James was going golfing with some friends. Perfect... I get the whole house to myself to unpack and hang and put things away without a distraction. I was so prodictive. My Mom returned Emma in the afternoon on Saturday and about an hour later it all went downhill..

Thursday night snuggles with Daddy :)

So Saturday afternoon, I get a text saying that his friends dog bit him in the face, his cheek is like a blow-hole.. what shoould he do? So I gather what I can for Emma and picked a hospital half way to each other. His friend got him their and offered to watch Emma while I was with James. Perfect... entertain her and hopefully she doesnt get too mad its dinner time and all she has is goldfish and m&m's. I was lucky we got that and juice lol. So James gets 6 stitches in his cheek. If it was anything other than a dog bite, he would have needed 5 more..but they need the wound open and aired out for infection.
He is going to be just fine and he wont lose his cheek. Stitches come out Friday and we are hoping for a real meal!

On Sunday while we let James sleep off his pain, I attempted flourless pancakes! Emma is the pickiest of picky eaters. We eat lots of mac and cheese and waffles. She look at the food and play with it and then just throw it around. I have tried playing with smoothies.. she knows whats up. So we made these banana and egg pancakes and then called them waffles.. she LOVED them. Kept asking for more :). Yay! Eating eggs!! I may have also added chocolate chips to them to make her want them more lol

I made little appetizers for our 3-man party we had. Chips and guac, quiche, burger bits and mini tacos for the main dish.

Oreo shakes for the rest of the game.
Emma sucked hers down so fast... I had to hide mine so i didnt have to share haha

Emma was so sweet to her Daddy and his ouchies. Gave him so much love yesterday.

So our weekend was eventful to say the least. Hopefully this is just a bump in the wonderful month of February!
