Christmas

Christmas 2012... It was Emma's first Christmas and we decided to go to Las Vegas to see James' family. It was also Emma's first plane ride! It takes us longer to get to the airport that we are on the plane. Overall, she did really well. It was nap time both on the way there and on the way back. She fussed her way on take off and passed out on James's chest. Thank heavens he was there for her to sleep on. I was in middle seat both ways. She fussed when we landed.. she was ready to get off that plane!

She met her cousin Nicholas since she has been aware of people, he is 14 months. And she was obsessed with the cat! Everytime it came near, she squealed and smiled at the cat.

She wanted a bidlight sooo bad... we offered her a pepsi and she screamed until we gave up the beer.

 Opening gifts!

Eating Nicholas gift... and he was at least nice and gave her a kiss!

We went to the mall to meet some friends and she was pooped! I changed her diaper and she rolled over and passed out!

Trying to catch Nicholas.. he runs and she was soooo sad about it. Hanging with the kitty :)

 Family picture!

When we got home, she played with a new toy from Grammy and got up there all by herself! We were making dinner letting her push the buttons to make noise and this is how she ended up! Brave little girl. And then she has this new thing about hanging in her carseat... silly girl.

Crazy Hair

Emma, Pre-Nap...

Emma Post-nap...

And then I thought brushing it might help....

Good look for her?

Looking more like Christmas

This weekend has marked when it finally started to look like Christmas!! My favorite time of year. Not just because of xmas, but mostly because of the cold weather!!

I bought these cute monogram bear ornaments for our family this weekend. They add a great finish to the tree this year!

It rained most of the weekend, I pretended it was snow. I put on my Ugg boots and cranked the heater...it was a magical time.

And finally... the headboard came in!! I love it! Its great for Emma bonking her head lol

I have a "pinsperation" for above the headboard and a new location for the photo above it now. My project is currently still in the mail -_-. Hmpfff its coming from Hong Kong! My bedroom will soon be an adult sanctuary... eh not really. But it will look prettier :)

Mid-December

It is half way to Christmas! I have bought 1 gift. Made nothing for my co-workers and have done nothing for our trip to Vegas. Everything has to be travel-able in a suitcase. So 12 days to go! I will have to make time to crunch it all in this weekend!

In the mean time... this beautiul girl is 8 months old!! She loves to look at the back o my phone cover (which i think gets her to smile all the time!) I would like to tell you that I took 10 of each shot and picked the best, but nope, she loves to be cute and knows it! I took 3 and the first was the least blurry lol

Good Morning!

 Daddy snuggles!

Sunday, December 9, 2012

We hung our outside Christmas decor finally. Walmart was out of the staples we needed and the nearest Home Depot is over 20 min away. But they are done! Yay. Emma enjoyed watching us put things up and going out when it was dark enough to see them. She LOVES the tree. Luckily its mostly out of her view from on the floor!

Giving Daddy a sweet smile

Becoming a dare devil!

When I picked her up the other day, she didnt want to bend her legs and then we discovered a new fun trick, which she loves! (She is over the bed full of pillows and fluffy blankets, need not to worry about her falling over)

She is such a joy and so snuggly and cute. I dont want her to be 8 months tomorrow. I like this 7 month stage, I want to keep the snuggles forever and innocent laughter forever.

I have been dying to get rid of my college days mismatched bedroom stuff and move on to being the responsible adult I am. Although it seems like it is taking forever, I think it is finally happening. I have run in to several problems while doing this:
1. Cost...so expensive to decorate!
2. I had to find the right pattern. I mean I have to LOVE it considering I am going to spend quite a bit of $.
3. Looked in to DIY. I decided I didnt want to get into this big of a craft.
4. Not every store has all the items needed and matching patterns.
5. Listing everyting that I want to change and then looking at reality.
6. Renting. No painting. So everything must go with the gray walls.
7. James has to like it too, considering it's were he sleeps lol

So after much searching and budgeting and planning, I have started to make change! I bought this amazing bed set off Amazon on clearance with free shipping for $50! I was looking at ones for $100 plus, in addition to the throw pillows. So this was a score and I LOVE the pattern. I bought a headboard online as well, which will be here in 2 weeks also for $50! I had the curtains and since they are black, they go well. Room is dark, but meh, we like it dark.

I have 1 corner and a wall left and I think I will be satisfied with leaving my cheap looking college days behind.

Emma has been growing like a weed. 7mo 3 weeks. 16.8 pounds 27inches She will be 8 months next week!!! Seriously... where has 2012 gone? She has 2 bottom front teeth. Has learned to crawl...everywhere. Eats yummy baby food 3 times a day! She is creep walking along the couch and screaches at everything when she is excited. Giggles at James sooo much! She loves him and it is so heart warming to see them together. She is such a happy and loving baby. Only cries when she really wants something. Although.. she does throw a fit when she gets put in the pack and play and she can see us near her.
