January

January 2014...you have come and gone, just like the months before you. You were a pretty special month and hopefully a look into how amazing 2014 will be.
So far this year:

-We moved into our first home

- James started a new job

- Our commute got cut by 20 min.. such an exciting thing!!

-Emma has made big milestones with her talking; she is forming scentences :) (small ones, but im so proud! "Im on it. I see you. Im a mess. I call, Mimi?" Just a few of her frequent ones)

 

 

Heres to February! Many more laughs and smiles to come :)

We closed on our house!!

 

Weve been in the house about a week. More to come if I ever finish unpacking! :)

Hawaii for Christmas

This year for Christmas, my Mom had a great idea! Why not see John in Hawaii since he cant come home. Uhhh you dont have to ask me twice! My Brother is stationed in Hawaii for the Navy and this could possibly be his last year there before be stationed somewhere new! So we took advantage.

 

We kept the trip really low key and relaxing. Since this is my (dont hate me) like 10th time visiting, we have done almost everything there is to do. We made sure to check out the Zoo for Emma...im pretty sure James and I had way more fun than anyone else there. James has never been to the USS Arizona Memorial, so we made sure to check it out for him. I seriously only took 130 pics on the trip (sounds like a lot; but 60 were of the Zoo and 60 were at the memorial) So realllly, I only for 15 or so pictures from the trip. Here are a few of my faves:

 

 

Emma with Uncle John at the Zoo and playing with Grandpa at the beach! At first Emma HATED the sand and wanted nothing to do with it. Slowly she inched her way off the towel and realized it wasnt so bad and off she was to play!!

For breakfast, Emma loved the umbrellas that came in every drink and also the yummy cherries in my drinks were also her fave hah. We also stopped at lots of decorated trees at each of the hotels. Emma was in love with all the balls!

We went on EARLY morning walks...since 6 am AZ time is 3 am HI time.. it was a rough few mornings. Thanks to my Momma for rising early with her :). Brother and I being silly!

 

She was soooo good! I was so worried because she at a feisty, put me down, I want to run everywhere stage. 6 hours each way on the plane and she was perfect. Lolli's, M&M's and a DVD player and everything was smooth!!

December Misc.

December! What else did we do??

James and I drove to San Deigo at the begining of December to attend the Giants/Chargers game. Even tho the Giants lost, it was so AWESOME to be so close to the players and see the action all up close. There were so many crazies at the game and it was such a good time. Thank you to my brother John who sent us for our wedding gift!!

 

 

 

Emma went for some rides in her sweet bike. She also played sick for a day... that was super fun. Although, I did enjoy the snuggling time oh so very much.


I also threw my Mom a surprise 50th Birthday Bash! It was a total success! I was able to sneak my Uncle out here and surprise her as well......and later that night Emma was reaching for the water as the tub was and she just couldnt wait to get clean!! crazy girl.

 

Christmas 2013

We kept Christmas this year SUPER SMALL. With going to Hawaii and moving into the house, James and I decided, only gifts for Emma. Since we opened them 4 days after Xmas and Emma doesnt understand still; Santa visited us in Hawaii only. We should have known to open the gift under the table last because that was the only toy she played with for the next 2 hours. James and I pretty much opened the rest of the stuff and tried to get her attention haha.

 

 

She also very much loves her hamper now lol..she runs across the room and dives into it. Shes nuts.

 

I am very much looking forward to next years Xmas. We will be in our new house, actually put up the big tree, Emma will be old enough to sorta have a concept.
