World Wildlife Zoo

 This weekend, James' parents came to visit. So we went to the World Wildlife Zoo...it was sooooo much better than the regular zoo! Be sure to check for coupons on line because it is $12 more than the Phx Zoo. However, there were way more animals, more activities, an aquarium and some of the peacocks got to roam!

The monkeys were out and hanging about..it was super neat.

They had a nursery and all the baby animals were adorable! Baby warthogs :)

This poor cheetah, he just wanted a snack and kept pacing at the fence.

The parking lot was packed and the line was super long; but the park is so big, we walked right up to every animal, no problems.

Its hard to tell, but the monkeys here had babies on their backs! The tiny mokeys are so so cute

They had penguins!! What?! Soo cute. They didnt do anything cool, but it was neat to see them

We got to ride the carousel by ourselves and it went super fast; I was a little surprised lol

And she napped like this the whole way home and then an hour in the driveway while I waited till she woke up.

We will definitely be going back here again! 

Stay-cation 2015

 This weekend we had other plans; but it ended up not being in the budget, so we switched it up to a staycation and had a wonderful time :)

We chose to go to the Zoo and it was so much fun! We actually got to walk the whole place and see all the animals! Which we never get to do with kids in tow.

 The weather was perfect; which meant EVERYONE was at the zoo this day. Ok with us, because no kids = we can go at our own pace and skip things and see over the tiny humans :)

I was pretty bummed on a few Baboons were out. One of my faves!

 

 However, these monkey's were putting on a show. 

This monkey just hung out for about 5 mins letting people take pictures. He then swung around on his tire swing (I was saying 10 mins before that, how the animals never 'play' with their stuff and it bums me out; he must have heard me)

And the other monkey, had a baby!! It was soooo cute!

 We then we on the paddle boats. SO. MUCH. FUN. Tired legs after lol, but it was so fun and it was breezy and we saw a bazillion turtles. Apparently, when people dont want their pets anymore, they drop them off here. So sad. The Zoo then has to go through and remove them and find homes. Dont dump your turtle at the zoo!!

 The pink birds are another fave!! I love the Flamingos and these new pretty birds we saw! I wanted to bring home the bright pink one haha

 After the zoo, we went to our hotel and then headed to dinner and dessert before calling it a night and getting a solid 12 hours of sleep. Much needed rest! The place we went to for dinner was RnR Gastro Bistro. YUM. We got these pork fries (reg and sweet potato fries, topped with white cheddar, pulled pork and bbq sauce) im drooling as I type this and will being going again!) I hope we get to do another stay-cation soon :) maybe for my Birthday..ooooo.

 Emma is going through a I-dont-want-to-smile-at-the-camera phase...soooo little miss smiley will take the attention from her then :)

Gianna's new blanket from AudreysBear came :) I also got one that says "Mama Bear" LOVEE

 Since Gianna will tolerate sitting up for longer, she gets to 'play' in the playroom now! Aka sit and watch us/Mickey Mouse Club House

Then my new favorite piece of mail came a few days ago! This 'Happy Camper' Headband from Sadie Sky Boutique and we LOVE it. It re-ties, so both girls can wear it. Emma has worn in to school 3 days in a row.There are only a couple in stock; and then they are gone forever! Which is why I was even more excited to snag one up.

These girls make life so much fun :)
