I had Emma home from daycare since she was sick and since it was so nice out, we hung out for a bit :)

Getting ready to go to her late 15 month check up apt for some shots! I just cant get enough of that pony-tail!!

 Poor girl had to get her blood drawn. As a mother, it was one of the sadest things to ever witness and do. But the lady was pro and it was over in no time.

And then just because she is sweet :)

Fall is hereeee!!

 And that means the holidays are coming!! Halloween, Thanks Giving, Christmas, New years... LOVE LOVE LOVE. I took the opportunity this weekend to start to decorate, because I mean who can resist the cooler weather coming?! It has been so hottt for sooo long, that anything in the 90's would be considered "fall weather". I did a little and home and a little at work. I have to keep everything above 4 feet high because of Emmas curiosity of shiny things.

Man crafts

My super sweey hubby has a craft for drawing and creating awesome things here and there when he gets an itch.

Since he has started his new job, his itch is in full swing. Students and teachers noticed he was drawing one day and started making requests for name drawing. So he did several of those over a week. (Side note: in college, he made carved wood signs for the fraternity house he lived in) Some of the signs he has made are, The Pizza Parlor, The Oval Office and a couple others. He took one to work to put on his desk and one of teachers really liked it and had a made a request for a sign. We went to Home Depot, bought some clearance marked down wood, cut it to size and he got started.

He wrote out his letters and began to burn them in.

He stained it after I had went to bed. Before he left to work today to give it to the teacher, I ran after and got a quick snap of the finished product. Stained twice and a protective sealant for weather protection.

Isnt he soooo good?! I forsee other teachers asking for them now too.



Little Sickling

Last week on Wednesday, I got a call from daycare that my little love had a fever of 101.5 and she needed to be picked up. (2 other kids in her class have had Croup) So I grabbed my bag and swept her up and we stopped to get some Tylenol for babies and we were on our way back to the office for a bit.

When we got home, all we wanted to was snuggle. So put on some Guppies (Duh!) and snuggled on the bed.

Since she had a fever, she cannot go back to daycare for a full 24 hours. So I made her a Dr. apt for Thursday and took the day off to spend with my girl. It was so weird being home "sick", when I wasnt really sick. So I power cleaned my house and it is soooo clean! It was soo nice out Thursday monring that we went out back to hang out and enjoy the weather. You would never know she was sick based on that smile! However, her poor cough and chest. I read up on "Croup" and sure enough that is what she had and we were off to her apt. She got a shot of some liquid medicine and we were on our way home. Since daycare also requires a 24 hour wait after anit-biotics, she was out of daycare on Friday again.

So that means, work with Momma!! Woohoo, I get a half day ;). She made it 5 hours at work and was such a trooper. She even sat ran around a meeting for 30 min. And then at noon, it was time to go. Not even 5 minutes down the road, she was out.

Saturday, she was feeling much better. I mean, who wouldnt with a delicious yummy lolli?!

Back to daycare today! Happy first week of fall!

An Emma Obsession

This girl has a tad obsession with this show Bubble Guppies on Nickelodeon.

We have every single episode on DVR.

The only show that will keep her undivided attention for more than 20 min at a time.

She requests in the minute she wakes from bed/nap

If the TV is off, she looks at and looks at you and says "Buppies?"..uh mom why is it not on the tv??

I tried to gather all of her goodies from around the house and I think I collected around 85% of it. There are books and toys in the car/truck, under the bed/couch, so I got most! Look at that collection!! and she has even more on the way in the mail. Plus she has 2 t-shirts and a swim suit and a dvd.

S.P.O.I.L.E.D much?

I have been experimenting with hair-do's since her hair is getting longer and in her face and she doesnt have much going for it lol. So mostly pony-tails and afros. I played with getting as much hair as i could into a tight pony, I has to use a little hair spray because most of is was falling out, but she looked so grown up and cute I couldnt help myself, plus I think she likes when she gets to use "mommy's forbidden counter items". 

And to finish you off, she has been insisting on putting these on everyday when we get home and likes to hear them tap on the tile. Thats silly!! (as the Bubbies would say!)

Pretzels

This weekend, I went through the pantry and did some cleaning of all things stale and what needed to be made in the next week so we dont have to toss it out. I came accross this box of pretzel dough mix we have had for at least 6 months, waiting for a rainy day when I was craving pretzels. Well that day never came, till now. At 10 am hubby come out of the bedroom, what are you making?! Flour everywhere, bowls and the counter greasy, he didnt know if he should just go back to bed. As I started to roll out the first one, the helpers see the fun starts and now beg to make one. We made several shapes and flavors to keep it interesting.

Id say, that was pretty pro!

They only took about 10 min in the oven with a rotation half way through.

Melted some cheese sauce and made a sweet dipping sauce for the sweet pretzels.

Over all, YUM.

Next time, I wont wait 6 months to make these :)

This little beauty turned 17 months old today!! She is such a love bug and so happy about life.

• Being outside. If has finally cooled down with the rain this last week, we have been able to go out more
